Is Credit Repair legal?
Yes, credit training is legal and our credit education and document processing services will help you to use the law in your favor. That law is called "The Fair Credit Reporting Act." The FCRA gives you the right to dispute any item on your credit report. If that item cannot be verified within a reasonable time (usually 30 days) it must be removed. Studies have shown that 79% of all credit reports contain errors. This is nearly 8 out of 10 reports. Therefore most credit reports are in need of Credit Repair Services to at least some extent making Credit Repair not only Legal, but a necessity to almost 80% of the US population.
How much does your Credit Restoration Program cost?
We at Credit Wellness Center pride ourselves on delivering a great service to our clients at a very affordable rate. Most of our programs average out to around $100 a month or less. Credit Restoration is not a "one size fits all" business. Like most other industries, you need the right tool for the job, & the right service for the situation. Because of this, we cannot list a fixed price prior to evaluating your unique credit situation & needs, but we do have information to better manage your cost expectations prior to attaining your Free Consultation on our "Pricing" page.
Is Credit Training, Education, & Repair worth my time and money?
Unfortunately, we don't learn about the ins & outs of Credit, Credit Reports, Credit Reporting Law, or Financing in general in our schools at any level prior to College. Thus we enter adulthood without the necessary education on how to make good financial & credit positive decisions. Simply being educated on what components contribute to calculating your credit score can be an EXTREMELY beneficial piece of information that most Americans don't have. Credit Wellness Center stresses education & consulting during our Credit Restoration Program. Our goal is to restore your credit as much as possible within the term that we're working with you, and arm you with the proper education to make better financial / credit decisions moving forward for the rest of your life.
How long does Credit Repair take?
This is one of the most common, & most impossible to answer questions (prior to initial consultation) that we get. Everyone's credit is different, everyone's goals are different, everyone has a different perception of what "good" credit is, and there are SEVERAL factors that contribute to your overall credit rating & score. Asking this question without knowing the pre-mentioned information is like asking a personal trainer over the phone, "How long will it take me to get in shape?" Once we've done the full consultation with you, we'll have a better idea of your goals, & can better manage your expectations on results & time-frame. That being said, many clients experience improvements / corrections to their credit report within the first 45 days. Sometimes the path to good credit is a sprint. Sometimes it's a marathon. Whichever the case, the important things are to be making credit positive decisions & taking credit positive actions. Nobody's situation is insurmountable, so we'll assist you on taking positive steps forward on a consistent basis, for as long as it takes to get your credit to where you want or need it to be. Most of our Credit Restoration Programs are in 6 month terms, but some clients are satisfied prior to the 6 months, & others request longer or multiple terms.
What if after my 6 month term is up, I want to continue working on my credit?
For clients who want to continue their path to their credit goals after their Credit Restoration Program, there are a few options depending on the Client's unique situation. If Clients wish to re-enroll in the Credit Restoration Program, we do allow this, but we mandate that the client take at least 90 calendar days off of the program prior to them re-enrolling. This gap between program terms allows time for the creditors to potentially sell off or transfer the Client's debt to another collection company or creditor which can up our success for future disputes. It also lets the statute of limitations roll out a little longer, which again ups our success rates. In the interim, or in replace of re-enrollment, we also refer applicable clients to our affiliate Debt Settlement company. This is of course a very different strategy, & recommended only to clients where we think this is the shortest route to credit success. In short, we have the ability, techniques, & motivation to advise you in the path to your credit success, evolving our strategy with you every step of the way, until you are satisfied.
Why do some clients get better results than others?
It all depends on the Client's unique credit situation, the client's actions taken within the Credit Restoration Program term, & the success of our disputes with the Creditors & Credit Reporting Bureaus. For instance, 30% of your credit score is composed of your balance to limit ratio on your open revolving credit cards. A Client who has the financial means & discipline to pay down their credit cards to a 2% balance may experience more desirable results than a Client who is unable to do so. This is a way that a Client's results may greatly vary from another Client in a similar starting situation, which is 100% dependent on the Client's sole actions which cannot be controlled by us. Your goals are our goals. We not only want you to succeed, but we want to be a part of your success. Even if the path to your credit goals is a long and windy one, we'll walk right along side you, guiding you down the path for as long as you'll allow us to.
Will the removed items come back?
Items cannot come back as long as the item is current or paid at the time of removal or if the collection is older than three years. This holds true except in very rare circumstances.
How long do negative items stay on my credit report?
How long an item is allowed to lawfully report on your credit is called the "statute of limitations." The statute of limitations can be different depending on what kind of account it is, but for most items, the statute of limitations is 7 years. In some circumstances such as for public records items, the statute of limitations can be as much as 10 years. There is more specific information on this topic in the "Credit Info" page or you can of course call one of our Credit Wellness Center associates at 805-334-7273.
